Can you rent a motorbike in Da Lat without booking?

Yes. Many guests decide on the spot — after breakfast, after the night bus or after seeing how nice the weather is. At Van Phu you can walk in to our shop at 1/15/5 Thông Thiên Học, choose a Honda Vision, a Honda Air Blade or an electric scooter, and leave on the same day. The shop opens at 4:30 in the morning, so even early arrivals can pick up a bike right away.

What to bring

• Your passport (foreign guests) or ID card (Vietnamese guests) — we keep it during the rental instead of a cash deposit.
• Money for the rental: 150,000 VND per day for every bike, fixed price.
• Your phone with maps — every bike has a phone holder.

How long does a walk-in pick-up take?

Usually just a few minutes. We check your passport or ID card, you choose a bike, we fit a free helmet and you take a short test ride. Together we record a quick video of the bike's condition, so returning it later is simple. Gas scooters come with 1 liter of fuel — enough to reach a petrol station. When is it busy?

• Weekends, especially Saturday mornings, when many visitors arrive from Ho Chi Minh City.
• Public holidays and festivals — Da Lat fills up and bikes go quickly.
• Early mornings in sunrise season, when many guests want a bike for cloud hunting or the tea hills.

On normal weekdays, walking in is rarely a problem. On busy days, or if you want a specific model (the Air Blade for passes, or an electric scooter), a message a few hours before helps us keep one ready. Booking takes one minute — see how to book online.

Same-day rental tips

• The rental day runs until 21:00. Picking up in the afternoon? It is still counted as one day, so plan a short ride or keep the bike for the next day too.
• Delivery: for rentals of 2 days or more we deliver free to hotels in central Da Lat. For a single day, message us and we'll see what's possible — or simply come to the shop.
• Groups: several bikes at once are best arranged in advance; see our tips for group rentals.
• Vietnam drives on the right. No alcohol or beer when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
