Why an electric scooter for a weekend
Most of Da Lat's classic sights are in or close to the centre: the lake, the flower garden, the station, cafés, the market. An electric scooter is quiet, easy to ride and perfect for this kind of weekend. For a weekend with long hill rides — Cau Dat, Lang Biang, the Prenn or Mimosa passes — choose the Honda Air Blade instead. General tips for a two-day rental are in our 2-day scooter rental guide.
Book ahead for Saturday
Weekends are the busiest time in Da Lat, and electric scooters are popular. Message us a day or two before with your dates and pick-up time. Two days cost 2 × 150,000 VND = 300,000 VND, with free helmets, a phone holder and no cash deposit — you leave your passport or ID card. For rentals of 2 days or more we deliver free to hotels in central Da Lat.
Day 1: lake, flowers and the night market
- Morning around Xuan Huong Lake and the city flower garden.
- Lam Vien Square and a coffee with a view in the centre.
- Afternoon at Domaine de Marie church and the streets around it.
- Evening at the night market — park in a guarded parking area nearby and walk in.
Day 2: the station and Trai Mat
- Morning at the old railway station, then on to Trai Mat and Linh Phuoc Pagoda — see our railway station and Linh Phuoc guide.
- Back in town for lunch, then a quiet café or a last walk before returning the scooter by 21:00.
Prefer something else? Tuyen Lam Lake is also a calm ride from the centre on an electric scooter.

Planning the batteries
Each scooter comes with 2 batteries. When one runs low, come by the shop and swap it for a full one for 20,000 VND. A good habit for a weekend: plan your day so you pass the shop around midday or before an evening ride. Hills and two riders use more battery, so keep an eye on the display. Our battery guide explains how far to plan.
Parking and safety
- Use paid parking (gửi xe) at sights and markets and keep the ticket; see our electric scooter parking tips.
- Max 2 riders with a combined weight under 140 kg; both wear helmets.
- The motor is almost silent — use the horn gently when pedestrians don't hear you.
- Vietnam drives on the right. No alcohol or beer when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
All the details are in our electric scooter rental rules.
