How parking works in Da Lat: "gửi xe"
In Vietnam you rarely park a scooter just anywhere on the street. Near markets, sights, shops and many cafés there is a guarded parking area — look for a sign saying "Giữ xe" or "Gửi xe". An attendant shows you where to put the scooter, gives you a paper or plastic ticket and keeps an eye on the bikes. You pay a small fee in cash, usually when you leave. Keep the ticket safe: you need it to take the scooter out.
Electric scooter parking in Da Lat works exactly the same way as for gas scooters — the attendants treat them like any other bike.
Where to park around the city
- Da Lat Market and the night market — there are several guarded lots around the market area. In the evening it gets busy, so arrive a little early and walk the last part.
- Xuan Huong Lake and Lam Vien Square — use the guarded areas rather than leaving the scooter on the pavement.
- Cafés — many cafés have their own parking with a staff member who helps you; some put a ticket or a number on the seat. If a café has no parking, ask where the nearest "gửi xe" is.
- Sights and ticketed attractions — the railway station, Domaine de Marie, flower gardens and similar places usually have parking at the entrance.
- Your hotel — ask at reception where to leave the scooter overnight; many hotels and homestays have a parking space or bring bikes inside at night.

Simple rules to keep the scooter safe
- Switch the scooter off and always take the key with you.
- Use the steering lock when you park on the street for a minute.
- Don't leave phones, bags or valuables in the storage box or on the phone holder.
- Don't block sidewalks, gates or doors, and never park where a sign says "Cấm đỗ xe" (no parking).
- Avoid parking in deep puddles or right under a gutter in the rain.
- Take a quick photo of where you parked if the area is new to you — lanes in Da Lat can look alike.
Plan your stops around the battery
Parking is also a good moment to check the battery. One battery lasts about 25–30 km; each scooter comes with 2 batteries, about 50–60 km in total. If you need more for the day, come back to our shop and we swap in a full battery for 20,000 VND. Electric scooters are made for city riding and nearby sights — for long steep passes like Prenn, Mimosa or Lang Biang choose a Honda Air Blade 125cc. Maximum 2 riders, with a combined weight under 140 kg. All other conditions are in our electric scooter rental rules.
