1. Pick the right bike for your plans
An electric scooter is perfect for the city: Xuan Huong Lake, the market, cafés, the flower park, Da Lat Railway Station and other central sights. It's quiet, light and has no gears. It is not made for long, steep passes such as Prenn, Mimosa or the road to Lang Biang, or for long day trips — for those days take a Honda Air Blade 125cc at the same price. Many guests mix: electric for city days, gas for the day they ride out of town.
2. Plan your day around the battery
One battery lasts about 35–40 km, and each scooter comes with 2 batteries — about 60–70 km in total. That's plenty for a full day in the city if you plan a little:
- Do the hilliest part of your plan first, while the battery is full.
- Head back when about a third is left — hills and a passenger use more power.
- Need more? Ride to our shop and we swap in a full battery for 20,000 VND. Our shop is central, so it's easy to swap at lunchtime.
- Don't use other chargers and don't remove the battery yourself.
3. Respect the hills
Da Lat is built on hills, even in the center. Going up, keep a steady throttle; if a slope is very steep and long, it's fine to choose another road. Going down, brake gently with both brakes and slow down before bends. Two riders must weigh under 100 kg combined — this keeps the scooter safe and comfortable on slopes.

4. Dress for Da Lat weather
Mornings and evenings are cool, and you feel the wind more on a scooter. Bring a jacket, keep a raincoat under the seat, and in the rainy season ride slowly: roads get slippery, and you should never ride through deep water.
5. Parking and security
- Use guarded parking lots (gửi xe) at markets, cafés and sights, and keep your ticket.
- Always lock the scooter and take the key with you.
- Don't leave helmets or bags on the scooter in busy areas.
6. Small habits that make a big difference
- Take a short test ride at the shop and film the scooter's condition with us before you leave.
- Use the phone holder for Google Maps instead of holding your phone.
- Vietnam drives on the right; give way at roundabouts and ride calmly in traffic.
- No alcohol or beer when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
- Return before 21:00 — a rental day runs from pick-up until 21:00. Running late? Message us first.
7. Read the rules once
Our electric scooter rental rules fit on one page: price, rental day, weight limit, battery swap and what happens if something goes wrong. Five minutes of reading saves misunderstandings later.
