Why green travel fits Da Lat
Da Lat sits high on the plateau, surrounded by pine forests, flower farms and lakes. Much of its charm is quiet: misty mornings by Xuan Huong Lake, birds in the pines, cafés in gardens. More and more travellers want to enjoy that without adding noise and fumes to the narrow streets of the centre. An eco-friendly scooter rental in Da Lat is one small, practical step.
What an electric scooter changes
- No exhaust on the street. You don't breathe petrol fumes at red lights, and neither do the people walking next to you.
- Very quiet. You hear the city instead of an engine — pleasant around the lake, in residential lanes and early in the morning.
- No petrol stations. You start with full batteries; there is nothing to fill up during the day.
- Light and easy for short city rides between sights, markets and cafés.
Battery: how far you can go
One battery lasts about 35–40 km; each scooter comes with 2 batteries, about 60–70 km in total. That's plenty for a full day around the city. If you need more, bring the scooter to our shop and we swap in a full battery for 20,000 VND. Hills and two riders use more power, so head back when about a third is left.

Where an electric scooter is the right choice
The centre is perfect: the lake, Lam Vien Square, the market, the railway station, Domaine de Marie, flower gardens and dozens of cafés, all a few kilometres apart. See exploring the city by electric scooter and café hopping by electric scooter for ideas. Electric scooters are not made for long steep passes such as Prenn, Mimosa or the road up Lang Biang — for those trips choose a Honda Air Blade 125cc. Maximum 2 riders, with a combined weight under 140 kg.
Simple tips for travelling green in Da Lat
- Bring a refillable water bottle and say no to extra plastic bags at the market.
- Take your rubbish back with you from viewpoints, lakes and pine forests.
- Stay on paths at flower farms and tea hills, and don't pick flowers.
- Combine riding with walking: park in a guarded lot (gửi xe) and explore the market area and lakeside on foot.
- Eat local: Da Lat's vegetables, fruit and coffee are grown right around the city.
Riding safely
- Electric scooters are quiet — pedestrians may not hear you, so ride slowly near crowds and use the horn lightly when needed.
- In the rain, slow down: Da Lat's hills get slippery.
- Helmets on for both riders, no alcohol when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
