Can foreigners rent a motorbike in Dalat? Yes
Most of our guests are travellers from abroad. You can rent any of our bikes — the Honda Vision 110cc, the Honda Air Blade 125cc or an electric scooter — on the same terms as Vietnamese guests. Every bike costs a fixed 150,000 VND per day.
What you need: your passport
- Passport: foreign guests leave their passport with us while they have the bike. You get it back when you return the bike.
- No cash deposit: you don't leave any money as a deposit — only the passport.
- Payment: you pay the rental for your days at pick-up.
That's all. The full step-by-step process is in how to rent a motorbike in Da Lat, and more about the passport rule is in motorbike rental with no cash deposit.
Booking in English (or your language)
You don't need to speak Vietnamese. Message us on WhatsApp (+84 944 081 101 or +84 834 622 149), Telegram (@vanphudalat), WeChat (vanphudalat) or Zalo (0944 081 101). Send:
- your dates and roughly what time you want to pick up;
- which bike you'd like, or what you plan to do so we can suggest one;
- how many riders.
The shop is at 1/15/5 Thông Thiên Học in central Da Lat and opens at 4:30 am, which helps if you want to catch the sunrise. For rentals of 2 days or more we deliver the bike free to hotels in central Da Lat; for one day, just message us and ask.

Which bike suits a foreign traveller?
- Honda Vision 110cc: light, low and fully automatic — the easiest choice for the city and for riders who feel less confident.
- Honda Air Blade 125cc: more power for hills, two riders and day trips to the tea hills, waterfalls or Lang Biang.
- Electric scooter: quiet and simple for city rides; one battery lasts about 35–40 km and each scooter comes with 2 batteries, about 60–70 km in total. Read electric scooter rental for foreigners if that's your choice.
What happens at pick-up
- We show you the bike and how it works, then you take a short test ride.
- We film the bike's condition together, so nobody argues later.
- You get a free helmet; there is a phone holder on every bike, and gas scooters come with 1 liter of fuel.
- A rental day runs from pick-up until 21:00.
Riding tips for visitors
- Vietnam drives on the right — take a few quiet minutes to get used to it.
- Wear your helmet and fasten the strap every time.
- No alcohol or beer when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
- Da Lat is hilly: brake gently with both brakes going downhill, and slow down in rain or fog.
- Use guarded parking (gửi xe) and keep the ticket.
