Night bus from Ho Chi Minh City: when you arrive
Sleeper buses leave Ho Chi Minh City in the evening and cover about 300 km in roughly 6–8 hours. The exact arrival depends on the company, traffic and the weather on the mountain road, but most overnight buses pull into Da Lat somewhere between about 4:00 and 7:00 am.
When you book, ask where the bus stops in Da Lat: the intercity bus station on Tô Hiến Thành, the company's own office in town, or — with some limousine vans — your hotel. From Nha Trang: a daytime bus
Nha Trang is closer — about 135–140 km over a scenic mountain pass, roughly 3.5–4 hours — and buses run during the day, so you usually arrive in Da Lat by late morning or afternoon. One thing to know: a rental day runs from pick-up until 21:00. If you arrive at 16:00, picking up the scooter straight away still counts as a full day. Many guests check in, rest, and pick up the next morning from 4:30. Renting for 2 days or more? We deliver free to hotels in central Da Lat.
From the bus to a scooter, step by step
- The evening before: message us on WhatsApp (+84 944 081 101 or +84 834 622 149), Telegram (@vanphudalat), WeChat (vanphudalat) or Zalo with your bus company, your rough arrival time and the bike you want.
- Get off the bus and take a taxi or Grab to 1/15/5 Thông Thiên Học. Ride-hailing can be slow to find before dawn; taxis usually wait at the bus station.
- Paperwork takes a few minutes: your passport (no cash deposit) and 150,000 VND per day for any bike.
- Short test ride, and we film the bike's condition together.
- Ride off. A rental day runs until 21:00, so a scooter picked up at 4:30 is yours for the whole day.

Your first hours: sunrise, or rest first?
- Slept well on the bus? Da Lat's best light is right now. Head for cloud hunting or the Cau Dat tea hills at sunrise — take the Honda Air Blade 125cc for those hills.
- Slept badly? Don't start on misty, wet hill roads while you're tired. Have a hot coffee and breakfast first, and ride once you feel awake.
- Big suitcase? Don't ride with it. Drop it at your hotel first — many hotels hold luggage before check-in — or rent for 2+ days and we bring the bike to your central hotel for free.
- Wear your helmet, no alcohol or beer when riding, and strictly follow Vietnamese traffic law.
