The short answer
Staying in town and riding short distances? An electric scooter is quiet, easy and needs no license. Planning hills, passes or trips out of the city? Take a gas scooter, ideally the Honda Air Blade 125.
Electric scooter: pros and limits
- No driver's license needed to rent one from us.
- Quiet, no gears, no fuel stops.
- Range of about 40 km per charge — enough for the center and nearby sights.
- Low power: slow on steep hills and passes.
- Two riders only if your combined weight is under 120 kg.

Gas scooter: pros and limits
- Plenty of power for Da Lat's hills — the Air Blade 125 is the strongest climber we have.
- No range worries: refuel at any gas station.
- Best for the Cau Dat tea hills, Lang Biang and waterfall loops.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Which bike for which day
- Center, lake, night market, cafés: electric or Honda Vision.
- Datanla Waterfall, Linh Phuoc Pagoda: either works.
- Tea hills, Lang Biang, Elephant Falls, Pongour: gas, preferably Air Blade 125.
